127. balloons

today a kid walked into my store and had 2 balloons with him. He was so happy just to be holding these 2 balloons and i laughed a little.

This got me thinking, why are kids so fascinated with balloons? is it the shape? or maybe the fact that anyone can blow one up themselves?

or maybe its the many colors. like think about it there are so many colors out there to choose from! Or maybe its because when u add helium to the balloon it floats and when you let it go outside you can watch it float away until you cant see it anymore. this is kinda like how we should be with our love for God. That even though he's not visible to us (like the balloon after flying away) that we should still enjoy seeking him with all we have. i think that we should have the child like faith that the bible talks about and just believe that Jesus is there for us, and you know what, he will be. So my challenge to you guys is, just like the kid is fascinated with the balloon, be fascinated with God and all he will do for and thru you.

123. plan!

ok so, this is my legit plan for this year.

i may or may not be leaving in august or september to spain. if i dont my plan is to leave jan 2012 which would be so much smarter since well, i'd be saving for a year. so alas i'll probably stick to doing that.

im excited.

122. Traditions

everyone has a tradition. this year i got to hear about some of my friends christmas traditions. Nicky for instance, watches Santa Clause 1 every christmas eve with her fam jam in victoria. This to me was pretty cool, because i started thinking about how my family has some traditions too. at first i thought we didnt have any but then i realized that we do. Every Christmas eve we last min shop, and then we get ready to go to the 6 o'clock candlelight service at church. After that we get ready to eat dinner at my aunts house. We do that and wait till midnight creeps up on us and then ethan opens that first gift, cuz well he's the youngest. then after all the gifts are open we normally sleepover at my aunts. (this year we didnt) Anyways haha then christmas hits, we get up eat leftovers and go to the theatres. This year the theatres is coming to us. (ha!) Narnia for the win! Keep ur traditions alive people!
